Pay: $15,000 to $25,000 Stipend
- Oversees our special services for students who receive special education and MLL services.
- Works with approximately 20 families of students with IEPs and 30 families receiving MLL Services.
- Coordinates and implements ACCESS testing.
- Facilitates as the LEA for IEP meetings.
- Works up to 10 hours per week.
- Works closely with Enrollment Coordinator on the acceptance process for our school
- Supports our special education and MLL endorsed teachers
- Writes grants and must be able to navigate Accelegrants and have some comfortability with the CRP process

The UCAP School is an independent public school under the supervision of the Providence School Department. The UCAP School works with approximately 140 students in grades 7 and 8. All students selected for the program have had a history of academic challenges and many have repeated at least one grade. Students are given the opportunity to accelerate in grade if they have been held back, and those who have not, are working towards addressing their own learning loss so that when they do return to their sending districts, they are ready to engage with on grade level work. Through a program of accelerated instruction, counseling and career education, the staff of The UCAP School will seek to prepare these students for successful transition into high school.
The UCAP School Mission:
The UCAP School seeks to intervene in the lives of middle school students who are at risk of dropping out of high school. We provide relevant curriculum and enrichment opportunities to support the academic, social and emotional development of our students to ensure a successful transition from middle school to high school. We stress the importance of taking responsibility, having high expectations, setting goals, completing high school, working hard and having fun.
